	Dating Rules Question: Your absolutely smitten over your significant other. They're smart. They're great looking. You can actually see and hear the ting when they smile. You think they're too good for you ... does that constitute as a FAIR and VALID reason to break up with them?

yes. it probably means that the person isn't THAT into them OR doesn't think that they're the most ideal matchup. especially if they're willing to let them go like that, which is okay too.

I don't know--I don't think so, honestly. There's nothing wrong with the other person; it's really a self-esteem issue and a question of compatibility. The real question isn't who's "better," but whether both can be truly happy with each other in the long run.

nope. But if there are issues of self esteem, then perhaps that person isn't ready for a relationship. I think both people show consider themselves just as valuable as their significant other. However, the guy who is "out of their league" shouldn't treat the girl in anyway that would make her feel justified in her feelings.

hmmmm, reminds me of high fidelity when John Cusak kept saying how catherine zeta jones was too good for him...and then it was over cause he was more worried about that than enjoying his time with her...so whether it is or not isnt the important part, what is important is spending the time necessary to make it work...i think thats an answer...

so who got dumped?
